Thank GOD I don't fall into any of those categories. That is just sad!! I don't even think the stat about the books not being finished. (I'm reading one right now at a snail's pace, and I don't count reference books.)

But that is sa-AD! That said, I'm going to go to bed and listen to my story on sleep timer. =)

Hmm... your statistics are a bit confusing. Does that mean that 25% out of that 58% did not graduate from high school? What percent of high school students actually graduate, and further, what percent of the non-graduating group continues to read after school?

By the way, I recently read something that indicates that the act of reading text in paragraphs is a very unnatural activity for the human brain, which has to forcibly ignore the lines above and below the current line in order to concentrate on the current line. I'd always felt that to be true for myself, but I find it interesting that it is a little more universal than that.
